Entry: Dear Joyce, I was saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing though he was always Mr. Winkler to me. I know this is a difficult time and there isn’t much I can say that will make the pain go away. But let me tell you about some of the things that I will always remember. I remember his constant smile and his laugh – he always seemed to be happy. I remember playing bar dice, growing up in Racine, caroling on Christmas Eve, summer visits to Bohners Lake where he signed the foyer door. I also remember the summer fishing trip to Ontario in 1967 and all those adventures. All in all a lifetime of fond memories. I hope everything goes well for you and please give my regards to Scott, Dan, and Sue.

Entry: Papa Charlie was such a great man that everyone he met will never forget him. This holds true today as I informed my family and friends her in Pa.who had the pleasure of meeting him last Summer at our wedding. I try to put into words the impact he has had on my wife throughout her life and only joy comes to mind. He wanted the best for everyone and anyone for that matter .Husband ,Father ,Grand Father, Great Grand Father and Friend ,this man mastered them all.I am truly a blessed man having had the honor to know him for a short time. I can only pray I have the same fortune in life with my wife and son that Papa Charlie has had with his family. Thanks for being my Yuecher partner and all the lessons in life, rest in peace. LOVE KYLE
