Edward Paul Simmons
Simmons, Edward Paul, 68, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
Eddie was born in Baltimore, MD and moved here from Pittsburgh, PA in 1988. He retired as a consultant in the automobile industry. He was Catholic and a US Air Force veteran of Vietnam earning the rank of Airman Third Class. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, and woodworking.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Grace (Bougher) Simmons and brother, Albert Simmons. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jane; son, Paul; two daughters, Debbie and Susan; two brothers, Robert and David, all of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A graveside service with full military honors will be presented by the Pinellas County Veterans Council at 3PM on Thurs., April 5th at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL http://www.cem.va.gov/CEM/cems/nchp/baypines.asp .
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
